These analyzers are well-suited for measuring sulfur in petroleum products per ASTM D4294, bunker fuel, and perform other petroleum-related applications. In addition, NEX QC Series offer compliance with ISO 13032 for the analysis of ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) and lead in gasoline per ASTM D5059.

It is an ideal tool for determining sulfur in fuels quickly while offering compliance with several international norms and testing criteria. Users can analyze sulfur in automotive fuels, such as ULSD testing per ISO 13032, and measure for other elements such as vanadium, iron, and nickel in crude, residual oil, bunker fuels, and other heavy hydrocarbon oils.

It provides exceptional performance for ASTM and international compliance for ULSD testing per ASTM D7220 and meets Tier 3 requirements for analysis of ultra-low sulfur in fuel. In addition to determining the sulfur content of automotive fuels, users can also reliably analyze for manganese in MoGas (motor gasoline) and AvGas (aviation gasoline) at low and ultra-low levels per ASTM D5059 Part D and easily meet ASTM D5059 Parts C and A compliance using the Bi internal standard method to measure lead in gasoline samples. NEX CG II also delivers the lowest chlorine detection limits for ASTM D4929 compliance using Part C methodology.

On-line, Real-time Analysis of Sulfur in Fuels

For on-line analysis needs, NEX XT offers real-time total sulfur measurements (0.02% to 6%) in heavy or light oils to satisfy the needs of refineries, pipelines, blending operations, bunkering terminals, and other storage facilities. Applications include bunker fuel blending, interface detection of different grade fuels delivered via pipelines, refinery feedstock blending and monitoring, diesel/kerosene blending or production, and more.

NEX XT is faster, more sensitive, and far more compact than competitive systems, and provides continuous, reliable detection of sulfur at pressures up to 100 bar (1450 psig). NEX XT can operate as a stand-alone analyzer or provide real-time closed-loop control when tied into a blending or plant-wide automation system. Its other key features are a simplified user interface, reduced standards requirement, automatic density compensation, password protection, and a standard platform for communicating sulfur and density to a plant-wide DCS.
